Residents tackle alcohol issues

People in Brechin are taking steps to tackle the alcohol problems affecting their area.

A year-long initiative is being set up, which will see community members identify specific issues and then draw up action plans to deal with them.

The Brechin Healthy, Happy Community Project will see professionals work with locals to raise awareness of the dangers of alcohol misuse.

It also aims to bring about a cultural change in attitudes to drinking.
