The Queensland Government will commit $21 million in tomorrow's Budget to tackling the alcohol-crime cycle in Indigenous communities.
The money will be used over four years to improve services in alcohol diversion centres.
It will also allow Cell Watch programs in Cairns, Mt Isa, Rockhampton and Brisbane to operate 24 hours a day.
The Queensland coroner is currently investigating the death of a 36-year-old man at a diversionary centre in Townsville last month.
