MEDIA RELEASE - Ararat Area
15 April 2008



Residents and traders in the Ararat area are being urged to ask their local council where is the plan to tackle alcohol related violence … as a major new campaign on the issue gets underway.
Many of Australia’s top organisations have got together to form the National Alliance Against Alcohol Related Violence which is being led by AER (the Alcohol Education and Rehabilitation Foundation). The Alliance will be launched on Tuesday April 15th 2008.

People in the Ararat area are also being urged to submit their ideas on how the Prime Minister can tackle the growing crisis of alcohol related violence. All ideas submitted will be passed straight on to the Prime Minister by Tim Costello who is a Director of the AER.
