Press Release - Alcohol Action Plan for Tasmania
28 April 2008



The Minister for Health and Human Services, Lara Giddings, today opened the State’s first annual Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs Council Conference, and announced the development of an Alcohol Action Plan for Tasmania.

Ms Giddings said the Tasmanian Alcohol Action Plan was being developed as a whole of Government framework, taking into account the National Alcohol Strategy, and would include specific strategies to address alcohol consumption and binge drinking, particularly among young people.
