Nearly 9,000 people are dying from alcohol-related diseases every year, three times the number 25 years ago, according to research.
The study, conducted by the Alcohol & Health Research Unit at the University of the West of England, mapped the level of drinking per person and the number of deaths from alcohol-related causes, showing that rising consumption is linked directly to more people dying. . . . . . .
