Australasian Therapeutic Communities Association Conference 2007
"PAST, PRESENT & FUTURE"
The Australasian Therapeutic Communities Association is the peak-body,
representing the interests of the Therapeutic Community approach to alcohol
and drug treatment and rehabilitation programs across Australia and New
Zealand.
This year our annual conference will celebrate the 21st Anniversary of the
Association and we plan to showcase the many positive contributions
Therapeutic Communities have made to the treatment of drug and alcohol
addiction in Australia & New Zealand.
The 2007 ATCA Conference will also demonstrate Australia & New Zealand's
alliance with international Therapeutic Community organizations and
recognize the unique impact Therapeutic Communities have had on drug and
alcohol services throughout the world. Rex Haigh, Project Leader of the UK
based peak body Community of Communities and Jan Lees, Editor, Therapeutic
Communities Journal UK, have already agreed to attend as key note speakers.
We look forward to receiving many international visitors to celebrate with
us on this special occasion.
