Press Release - Moderate alcohol consumption reduces the chances of diabetes type 2
Adults that drink 1 to 2 glasses of alcohol daily are less likely to develop diabetes type 2 than teetotallers, also when they adhere to more habits that reduce the risk of diabetes. This is the outcome of the long-term study carried out for the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) and the Julius Centre (UMCU) among 35,000 adults.
